Complementary feed with a properly balanced dose of protein and energy for pregnant and lactating mares.
LACTATING MARE has been dedicated and successfully used for many years in pregnant and lactating mares. The composition of the supplement is to ensure the maintenance of the mare and the foetus is in good health and contributes to a successful birth. It aids the mare’s chances of getting back into shape faster and of foaling again. Providing the mares with a balanced diet can also help ensure that the colostrum is of good quality.
The mare’s oestrus cycles depend on the length of the day and begin at the beginning of spring. So, foals are born after 11 months of pregnancy in early summer. Mares deprived of their condition, emaciated or obese, are more unlikely to get pregnant. Therefore, it is important to think about the mare’s form, before she foals her.
During the first 8 months of pregnancy, the foetus develops slowly and therefore does not overburden the mare. The last 3 months is the time of rapid growth of the foetus and it is then that the mare’s need for nutrients increases dramatically, especially energy, protein, calcium, vitamins, and minerals. Additionally, the large foetus limits space for the digestive tract, reducing the appetite for fibre. Therefore the perfect solution is to use a concentrated dietary supplement, which when given in a small doses, provides all the necessary ingredients for the nutrition of the mare and the foetus.
A lactating mare has an increased need, especially for water, protein, energy, calcium, and phosphorus.
If the mare does not receive them additionally via food, it will start to use the resources of its own body, which may lead to weight loss, mineral deficiencies, and in extreme cases to loss of milk production capacity and difficulties in re-pregnancy. It is important that the mare receives good quality, easily digestible protein and high-quality fats.
EQUIVIT LACTATING MARE – intended for pregnant mares from the 3rd month of pregnancy and for mares nursing foals up to 6 months after giving birth.
In addition to vitamins, micro-macro elements and amino acids, it contains about 15% of easily digestible protein – dried milk whey, and the addition of HP 300 soy protein – which is an excellent milk-producing factor for a nursing mare and indigestion.
Greasing is at the level of 7% with cold-pressed oils – linseed and coconut, ensuring the optimal level of living energy of the pregnant and nursing mare, at the level of 12-14 MJ.
Coconut oil is an excellent energy and antibacterial supplement (lactorephine), as well as dietary, because it contributes to better absorption of feed proteins, and thus aiding thr pregnancy.
The main carrier of the product is dried milk whey, rich in simple proteins – lactalbumin and lysine – an essential amino acid for growth, very desirable in every organism as a building material for muscles and lactose as a source of living energy, necessary for many metabolic changes in the body, mainly milk production .
Dried milk whey contains valuable ingredients such as: macronutrients: calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, sodium. microelements: iron, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, vitamins: vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B9 (folates)
Carotenoids (antioxidents), retinol and beta-carotene, endogenous amino acids: alanine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, serine exogenous amino acids: phenylalanine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methion, tryptophan, threonine, valine, arginine, cysteine, glycine, proline, tyrosine.
Whey proteins of approx 10% in whey, belong to the proteins with the highest nutritional value (high content of essential amino acids), thanks to which they are easily digested and absorbed in the digestive tract.
The most important proteins are β-lactoglobulin (40-55%), α-lactoglobulin (11-20%), immunoglobulins (8-11%), bovine serum albumin (4-12%), lactoferrin (1%) and lactoperoxidase ( 1%), which makes a significant contribution to the body’s immune system. The calcium compounds contained in the product are in organic and inorganic form, which ensures proper absorption.
The level of simple milk proteins is supplemented by the addition of extruded soy protein HP 300. The calcium compounds contained in the product are in an organic and inorganic form, which ensures their proper absorption and the formation of foal bones. The vitamin composition with amino acids supports the developmental needs of a pregnant and lactating mare.
The probiotic bacteria contained in the product, especially lactic acid bacteria, stabilize the digestive flora of the gastrointestinal tract and help with indigestion and colic.
Dosage in the amount of 50-100 g makes our product economically available to every horse owner.
