EQUIVIT MSM C ™

MSM (dimethyl sulfone) is an organic sulphur compound in the form of a white, odourless powder, highly soluble in water with anti-inflammatory properties. It is an important element that cannot be missing in a horse’s body. Together with the amino acid – methionine, it participates in the synthesis of collagen, which strengthens connective tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and articular cartilage.

Sulphur deficiency causes muscle and joint pain, which results in longer recovery after exercise.

That is why it is so important to supplement this macronutrient, which in nature occurs only in raw vegetables, fruits, grains, and grasses.

Unfortunately, any thermal treatment, pasteurization and preservation of feeds or supplements, destroys this compound, which degrades to biologically inactive forms.

Using MSM has many advantages as it has no side effects and is quickly digestible. From the time it is taken, it takes 24 hours to reach almost all the horse’s body cells.

MSM maintains the appearance of hair, mane, and tail, as well as hooves, as sulphur is essential to produce keratin – a component of the hair, and collagen – a component of connective and cartilage tissues.

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is a water-soluble vitamin necessary for the proper functioning of the body. It is very unstable, constantly consumed and not stored in the body, hence the need for daily replenishment. Vitamin C is involved in many processes in the horse’s body, is a powerful antioxidant and contributes to the protection of cells against oxidative stress.

Many important functions of vitamin C in the body result from its participation in the synthesis of collagen – the main protein of connective tissue, responsible for the elasticity of the skin, gums, articular cartilage, tendons, and blood vessels. Vitamin C is therefore important, among others to aid the condition of the coat, maintenance of healthy joints and protection of arteries and veins against adverse changes. It affects the fusion of bones and supports the healing of wounds.

EQUIVIT MSM C ™️ is a dietary supplement that combines MSM (dimethyl sulfone) and Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid). This combination causes synergy, (i.e. the interaction of several ingredients that enhance its effect).

EQUIVIT MSM C ™️ is recommended for all types of horses, subjected to various physical exertion and breeding ages.

Purpose: sport, breeding, and recreational horses.

Use: 14 g per day for a horse about 500 for a period of min. 3 months
